Profuse pink flowers in the spring are replaced by a rounded canopy of green leaf with hints of red in the summer. Clusters of red crab apple fruits become noticeable by September and these can sometimes be held on by the tree until December providing plenty of winter food for wildlife. The foliage turns a vivid yellow in autumn making it a tree with a remarkable variety of year round interest and beauty.

The sizes of trees supplied is governed by the pot size they are grown in. The approximate sizes of the specimens will be determined by the species.
