A slender tree in its youth it can become quite rotund at maturity but can't we all! Its stiffly ascending branches give the tree a very dense look and like all hornbeam it is particularly suited to heavier soils. The green leaves turn a lovely yellow in autumn before falling. It is a very good tree for both screening and defining an architectural shape to a garden.
Species available: Carpinus betulus Fastigiata, Carpinus betulus Frans Fontaine.

The sizes of trees supplied is governed by the pot size they are grown in. The approximate sizes of the specimens will be determined by the species.
