A tree with a conical and semi weeping habit, it produces a distinctive bark that is white with horizontal lines and large diamond shaped cracks as the tree matures. A superb tree for contrast within a garden, it grows well and quickly on most soils. One of the most striking of British native trees. The coppiced multistems as sold here are particularly effective at displaying the stunning variable bark of this species. Fantastic against a bleak winter backdrop!

The sizes of trees supplied is governed by the pot size they are grown in. The approximate sizes of the specimens will be determined by the species.
