Traditional Hedging
If Beech or Hornbeam is maintained as a hedge at 2 metres in height the trees stay juvenile and hold onto their brown leaves over winter, giving you a constant screen. Evergreen trees are the other option but with all hedging plants, the trick is to prune them back to shape in the early spring every year or else they will grow away from you.
